So I was listening to “Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me” on NPR, and they got to the part where the listener has to choose the true news story out of three improbable stories. They were stories about ways that companies try to motivate their employees, and they all seemed highly unlikely. One of them was about a sales company in Provo, Utah waterboarding an employee as part of a team-building exercise. Having lived in and experienced Provo, I thought to myself, “Yeah, I can see that…” And guess what? I was RIGHT!
