La Alaskeña

I know that everybody wants to go to Mexico and lay on the beach, but ya’ll are being lazy vacationers. Vacations are about going to museums and soaking up culture, not rays of sunshine! AND you are missing out on the wonders of the interior of Mexico, like tacos al pastor and one-eared donkeys.
My advice? Hit up Morelia. It’s beautiful, historical, and the huchepos are delicious. It’s also affordable. You can sit at a sidewalk cafe sipping a cappuccino and feeling all Euro, but without paying in Euros. Nice.
Just don’t take the trolley tour, because it’s a trick. You end up in a candy museum, and the candy’s not even good. It’s made out of like, squash and milk. And they lock you inside and make you watch a stupid squash candy video and they won’t let you out until it’s over.
